Gronlikaia is public

Last week, the final planning proposal for Gronlikaia was submitted to the local Planning and Building Authority (PBE) in Oslo.

Continuing the Bjørvika area, the former industrial harbour area will be transformed into a new neighbourhood with a vibrant urban life, housing and jobs.

Today, an enclosed area of containers and grey asphalt between the Ekeberg mountain and the beautiful Oslo Fjord, the plan for Grønlikaia transforms the area into five sub-areas with different qualities and identities, conected by one of Europe's longest harbour promenades. A main focal area is to provide Oslo's inhabitants better access to the fjord. It will also provide 3,000 jobs and 1,500 much-needed homes close to Oslo's largest public transport hub.
